Exhibition design for When They Were Wild (2013), a collaboration between The Huntington Library, Art Collections and Botanical Gardens, Rancho Santa Ana Botanic Gardens, and The Theodore Payne Foundation, at The Huntington's Boone Gallery.

This exhibition explores a rich legacy of illustrations of California flora produced by amateur naturalists. Wall colors are inspired by shifting weather patterns. To showcase the many pages taken from the field notebooks of illustrators. I designed wall mounts that held the drawings at different angles, in arrangements that echo the way wildflowers are scattered across landscapes.
